Hi everyone,

I recently got a copy of Linda Berman's new book "Marvelous Miniatures for
Beginners". Wow, Linda, what a great looking book! This book takes the
beginner through learning the basic twists and safety issues to creating
some cute little multiple balloon creations using the smaller 160Q balloons.
To help get the dimensions right, she has even included a ruler at the
beginning of the book. The illustrations are many and very well done. If
you are one of those that can't (or won't) read instructions, you could
probably do the animals just by following the diagrams. There are 30
different animals ranging from a simple mouse to a bear on a heart.

This book goes beyond the traditional "beginner" material, introducing the
reader to cutting balloons and adding pieces to enhance a sculpture. As
Linda indicates, for anyone with small hands, this is a great book or for
someone who wants to try out multiples in a more forgiving medium, 160's are
easier to work with. If you wish to be a bit different than all the other
twisters out there, twisting in miniature sets you apart. If you like
260Q's as well, ignore the dimensions, the illustrations will work for you
too.
