Simply put, busking is street performing. It is getting out there, 
entertaining a crowd, and getting them to give you money for the 
entertainment they have received. It's kinda like working without a net. You 
don't have anybody paying you to be where you are except the passers-by you 
are able to stop and entertain. The money comes using pitch lines throughout 
your routine letting folks know that you are not being paid, and you only 
get paid if they like what you do.

It can be more complicated, but this is, in my opinion, the brass tacks of 
it.

busking, and what it is.
