You'll enjoy Atlanta in June, it will be just like Sydney in December! (:}D)
I'm not the one to answer your questions, because I've never busked before.
My work is in the corporate magic arena, and I do balloons when I'm working
my kidshows (about 30 percent of my business).

Underground Atlanta may be a good place to busk, but there is a management
company, and they usually hire their own twisters and street vendors, so it
would likely be closed to busking unless you went through proper channels.

Piedmont Park is also a likely prospect for busking. I don't know if a permit
is required, but last time I checked (year back) it was not.

You should contact Bill "the Magic Man" Packard with your questions as he is
much more qualified to answer these questions. He's a regular at Underground
Atlanta.

Good luck, and have fun in Atlanta.
If you want to give me a ring when you're in town, I'm in the phone book.

PS: I have lectured to magicians in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne. Also
performed for the Kiwi's (Auckland, Christchurch), that's my only trip to OZ.
