Hi jen, and everyone,

I actually like to work my wrists with a little bit of contact juggling 
before i get in to a show.  The motions involoved have always managed to 
keep me CTS free, and it reduces the soreness because it helps me to stretch 
the wrists too.  Also, it adds a neat little new thing to any hsow, catching 
the eyes of not only children, but adults too.  You can find books and 
videos on Contact Juggling all over the net, and most will help to get you 
started.  If anyone wants personal recommendations, then they need to 
contact me privately, as I am not an advertiser, and do not wish to even 
mistakenly be considered as one.  If you have absolutley no idea of what 
Contact Juggling is, watch the movie "LABRYNTH" with David Bowie.  The 
Sorcerer, David Bowie, does CJ with glass/acrylic balls... enjoy.

Twistin til it hurts... but stretching first.

Subject: hurting wrists wrists

Dear group:
    I'm wondering if any of you have this problem.  I twist with my left
wrist only, and hold the balloon with my right hand.  Usually after a long
weekend of many balloon gigs, my left wrist is sore.  It hurts along the top
part of my wrist, just soreness, and I can't lean on it.  I don't think it's
carpal tunnel, because I've heard that's more of a shooting pain and
numbness
throughout the arm.  It seems like it's been bothering me more lately.  I
wouldn't worry so much about it except that I'm also a pianist, and between
that and balloons, my hands are a pretty important part of my livelihood.
Do
any of you switch twisting hands, or do wrist stretches, or anything like
that? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
