Here is the recipe the many of you have requested that was adapted from
Sue Marston-Weston and Christopher Horne. This is length recipe.
Bride
1: 6" white hearts 5 to 5"
2: 6" """""""""""" 5 to 4"
3: 6" """""""""""" 5 to 3"
4: 6" """""""""""" 1 to 5"(body)
You can use mono line to attach the clusters together however I found
using a white 260q works great as well when attaching the body the 260q
helps keeps her body in place. For the base you can use a cake board with
mono line or 260q tied through the two holes made in the cake board. I
use a sand or water weight that keeps her from tipping over without the
cake board. And as they say when you add weight you add value.
5: Using 1 260q per arm. Inflate 260Q to 10" per arm. At the end with the
knot you are going to do a tulip twist. This will be the shoulder. To
attach use a low temperature glue. Let them dry and shape and tie off.
6: 5" pearl peach 1 to 4" to make her necklace use a 160q making small
bubbles around 5 or more if you wish. Attach head and necklace to the
body with low temp glue. For the face use end of black and red balloon
for eyes and mouth and glue with low temp glue.
Groom
1: Inflate one black 260q to full size. Allow a little air to escape
which helps you tie the 260q. Find the center of the 260q and twist.Bring
the two ends of the balloon together and tie.
2: Holding the 260q with the twisted end at the top. Now twist the
balloon together approx. 5" from the twisted end, now you should have a
figure eight
3: Feed the larger loop thru small loop.
4: The small loop should end up hugging the large loop with the arms
coming over the shoulders. Adjust as needed to give the sculpture a
better shape.
5: To make the feet, inflate the second black 260q to approx 15". Let the
air out. Knot the ends together leave the tail you will need this later.
6: Make a twist in the center of the balloon. Push the twisted and the
knotted end together, this will give you a figure eight.
7: Add the feet to the body.
8: Using a cake board make a small hole in the center and cut a slip into
the edge of the board. Feed the 260q from the base of the sculpture
through the hole and stretch it until the sculpture stands firm on the
board. Now pull the stretched 260q through the slit, thus securing the
sclupture.
