Greetings Everybody,
last week, I really got something going when I told
about the great price I got for my bride & groom. As
we all know, I got it off of a Royal & Patty Sorell
video. Well, today I got a call from a local bridal
shoppe wanting to see these figures. I made them and
headed to the shop and the owner could not believe her
eyes! Once again, I sold them too fast to get a
picture of them. A young lady who's getting married
Saturday, saw them and flipped out! Her father and
mother were with her, as they were picking up her gown
etc.. Her father asked "how much?". Remembering what
happened almost two weeks ago, I said $125.00 for
both! I know I sold the others for $150.00 but this
young lady and her parents were so nice! Like I said
before, "Am I an Idiot, or what!" Her father looked at
them really close and said,"I can't cheat you like
that. How much do you really want for them?" After I
told him about what happened at Pinnacle Mountain
State Park, he agreed to pay $150.00 for them! He
still thought he was taking advantage of me. Like I
said, "He is one heck of a nice guy!" I offered them
the same bonus I gave the other wedding party. Free
balloon entertainment at the wedding, for I'm not
doing anything this Saturday. They won't let me do it
for free however! They want me to be there but they
insist on paying me! The best part of this deal was
the fact it took place in the bridal shoppe and the
owner has agreed to advertise my services in her place
of business. She will set the price of the
designs,(bride & groom, flowers, etc.), and she will
get a percentage of the sales from my balloons. I will
have to get pictures to display them at the shoppe,
for we all know that balloon sculptures don't last
forever. If she refers me to entertain at a reception
and I'm hired, she gets a cut. I guess that's only
fair, for it is her place of business. Thank you Royal
and Patty Sorell for showing these figures on your
videos, and thank you Larry Moss for teaching me such
great weaving skills on your CD-Rom. I couldn't have
done it without you guys! I hope the rest of you out
there try the same thing. You never know how it just
might turn out. Have a great night and a pleasant
tomorrow!
So long Everybody,
Steven
