Hi, Larry...
Hope you don't think I'm being too informal, calling you by your first
name...It's just that since I've began my jouney into the balloon world, I
have found so many helpful people. It feels very comfy here....
I use Glue Dots brand. They are a custom dot, and on the box is a sticker
that says they are for latex balloons. Right now I'm working in a space in
my garage...It's my own little world out there, but that's okay, everyone
knows me there....
Anyway, I find that trying to stick curled 260's to cello bags, for example,
doesn't always stick so good. Could be the temp. I'm in WA state - you
know that place where it always rains....NOT.
I find the dispenser in need of improvement also. I also, cut the dots off,
one or two at a time....
Thanks for the quick response..
But more importantly, THANK YOU so much for your seemingly endless
enthusiasm and work on BHQ. I honestly can say, I would feel very lost
without this resource...
Sincerely,
Kathy Scott

PS - I think I am getting addicted to twisting....will be doing a local
farmers market...Gotta love those kids, doncha! I did my first gig, last
Sunday. I started out doing hats but have been crammin since Sunday to
twist animals, because, yes, I had several request for a DOG!

Did you get "Glue Dots for Balloons" or some other Glue Dots product. Glue
Dots Inc makes several different Glue Dots products. Unless you get the
one specifically for balloons, you're not going to get the best results.
check what you box says. I found Glue Dots for Balloons to be the best
adhesive I've tried for latex balloons.
If you are using Glue Dots for Balloons, I'm very curious about the
conditions you're working in that you're finding them not to be sticky
enough. (Indoors, outdoors, extreme temperatures, ...) My good luck with
them has been exclusively inside. Any information you can provide will
help the rest of us in figuring out when they're appropriate and when they
aren't. They're a new product so no one knows everything about them yet.
The one problem I've had with them is the dispenser they come in. I've
found that I need to tear them off the roll and use a small strip at a
time.
