Not saying I wouldn't pay....just need to know.< Well, garsh, I just ask people if they want a cut when they refer business to me. I'm probably being offensive (or probably just dumb) but I would rather err on the side of looking dumb than offending someone that I like (or who can possibly refer work to me). There are a few of us here in Denver who are in kind of a networking group of twisters, clowns, etc. This way we all know a few people who we can trade gigs with. These are also people who I find invaluable for advice, etc. Another good (GREAT) way to get to know other twisters and their skills is hosting a jam. I've hosted two and had a wonderful time both times - and I've met several people who I would refer business to in a second.
