>Gosh, I hope I never offended anyone when I didn't give them any $$$. I
would
want the person to let me know that is what they want from the referral
before I accepted the gig. Not saying I wouldn't pay....just need to know.<

Well, garsh, I just ask people if they want a cut when they refer business to
me. I'm probably being offensive (or probably just dumb) but I would rather
err on the side of looking dumb than offending someone that I like (or who
can possibly refer work to me). There are a few of us here in Denver who are
in kind of a networking group of twisters, clowns, etc. This way we all know
a few people who we can trade gigs with. These are also people who I find
invaluable for advice, etc.

Another good (GREAT) way to get to know other twisters and their skills is
hosting a jam. I've hosted two and had a wonderful time both times - and
I've met several people who I would refer business to in a second. BTW
another jam coming up in January for those who care. :)
