Another thought...

An important factor when entertaining is the "perceived value" of your
performance by the person paying for your services.  This is partly
influenced by the way you are dressed, groomed and yes the appearance (or
lack of appearance) of your props when performing for children.  It is worth
considering the difference in perceived value between performing well with
nice colorful fun props, animals/puppets, taking the time to set them up
before the show etc. vs. showing up with a balloon and mouth coil in your
pocket.  Who would the customer be more likely to re-book, assuming both are
"good".

Note:  I have *not* assigned a valuation of one form over the other.  I
simply suggest you consider the perspective of the consumer.

Is this balloon related?  You bet.  My perceived value certainly increased
(even) when I simply started using things like the creation station colorful
260 bag which separates all my colors nicely.  No more fumbling for colors.
