I have been working at Pizza Hut in a town about 30 miles away from my home on Tuesday nights now for 18 months. I draw a crowd to see me pretty well. When I started the restaurant only had about a dozen or so customers in the 2 and 1/2 hours that I work. Now most Tuesday's is standing room only. I see about 50 kids on a standard night, maybe a hundred if we're busy. I finally got a restaurant in the town where I live. It is a locally owned place called The Dinner Bell. The food is good. A group from my church usually eats there on Sunday nights after church. The restaurant wants to introduce me this Saturday night. Then start me on Mondays on a trial basis to see if I can draw a crowd and increase their business. They wanted me on Tuesdays but they agreed on Mondays since I'm already booked on Tuesdays. I'm not as well known where I live as I am in Selmer where my other restaurant is. The thing is I'm not sure exactly how I was able to build such a following of repeat customers on Tuesdays. I work in clown doing face painting, balloon sculpture and general cutting up with the customers. Talk, joke, and have fun . I try to learn new stuff often so I can have something fresh for the children I see every week. Virtually all my birthday party work has come from people seeing me at this one restaurant. I'll bring in as much from parties this year as I will from working that one night at a restaurant. I'm sort of nervous about the new restaurant. Do you think I should do anything differently. Or do you have any advice when starting in a new place like this. Thanks in advance , Lisa
