Raisin Twist?
Detailed instructions are in the Guide at BalloonHQ, but. . .
the basic idea is to put something inside a balloon, (like a scrap of
balloon knotted into a "raisin" size lump), so that when the balloon is
inflated, you can grip the lump (inside the balloon), from outside the
balloon, and twist it, making a point of attachment for another balloon.
Most commonly used to attach to the side of a large or round balloon. I most
frequently use it to attach the ears when making an elephant head from a
large Geo balloon. (As shown in "The Ride Inside" book). I got the idea from
an old camper's trick for tying a rope onto a tarp where there is no
grommet, by putting a small rock on the other side and tying the rope around
the rock-lump in the tarp. It was later posted to the balloon line by
someone else that thought of it independently, *and* realized it was a
useful twist that was not commonly known. Another good reason for balloon
jams. . . to find out what other people may or may not know. What seems
obvious to one person can be a revelation to someone else. :o)
Twisting balloons. . .what a concept!
