I get paid and accept but don't solicite tips.  If someone asks if I take 
tips I always say yes so long as your don't forget you server.  Brownie 
points with the servers when they hear this!  I do however carry my stuff 
around in a camcorder case which has a plastic pocket on the front where I 
stick a dollar.  The pocket is intended for a card that says if lost please 
return to...
