My wife, myself and daughter are all clowns. Dee Dee recently bought a
Majiloon Pump from California. www.majiloon.com
The entire pump is concealed within a butt pack and operates off a
rechargeable battery. Very compact, lightweight and excellent for
performers.

Greeting Sharon:
T makes good pumps. I have a Pogo 4.0. It is a fantastic pump. It is
lightweight. It is free standing and almost requires no effort to use. It
his height adjustable and stands along side of you. The pump only requires
one hand so it leaves the other free to do spirals, etc. It fills the
balloon on the downstroke. It will not totally fill a 260 on one stroke,
but allowing for twisting room, one is usually enough. I like the fact that
it is free standing, saves the time of picking up a hand pump and then
placing it down again. It also disassembles so it will fit in the trunk of
your car. As for durability, I can see this pump lasting 20+ years no
problem. I drag it all over. It stands in a corner in my house, has lived
there for nine months now and is still in perfect shape. This is saying a
lot because there are six children living in my small house and it is a zoo
(everything gets broken here).
It also has an unusual appearance, easily lends itself as a prop and does
lots of gags. It can look like a rocket out of a 1950s sci-fi movie. One
of my favorites is to walk in with it over my shoulder and then fling it
around and hold like you would a machine gun. I ask all the children to
line up & tell them I am a nurse and they are getting their shots today.
There are always a few gullable ones who start running and screeching as it
can resemble a giant syrnge. Unfortunately, it also sort of looks phallic,
so when I first brought it into the house, the teenage boys had a hayday
with it (I don't but if you do adult stuff there are probably many gags you
could do in this respect).
The only drawbacks to the Pogo are 1) it's going to cost you a pretty good
size chunk of change. Mine was a gift from my husband for my 40th (what a
guy!!). But if you consider the long haul - its worth the investment, it's
well built and you probably will never have to buy another pump. 2)The other
is the box that it comes in. It sort of looks like a suitcase to carry your
pump in. It is not very durable. Mine is on its last leg right now. I am
trying to find something else to carry it around in. T makes great pumps,
if only he could design a better carrying apparatus. We have been talking
about this and think that it should be bell shaped (like a trombone case) so
that the base can remain attached when it is dissasbled - T are you
listening????
I hope this helps - Good luck in you search.
Vicky
