Hi Sir T and everyone,
I think you have some great pointers. I have had good luck with flyers. I
have sent them to schools too. I have also talked with after school programs
about offering a class to children to teach them twisting. Kids are good at
twisting and have a lot of imagination. The parents love it and it got me
work at older children's parties.
I have gotten together with an other twister to have coffee and jam and boy
does it attract attention. People are amazed at what can be made from
balloons. I have given out lots of business cards that way.
Last night at the jam, I talked to customers that were in AHHHH of what we
were doing. I did give out some cards there too.
You don't have to have a jam to do this.....like Sir T says you can do this
by yourself, or take along one friend and / or Twister. Chat, have coffee,
and jam.
Take your balloons and your business cards where ever you go. I had one lady
write my phone number on a scrap of paper and she called me a year later and
set up a party! She said she kept that scrap of paper in her wallet!
Take care, have fun and keep on twistin'!! Lori Soto from Northern
California
