Subject: A response to recent threads...

Hello Fellow Listers,
I have a few responses to some recent threads, they are:

1) Licenses Protect your right to perform on the street!
If you are a licensed street performer, you can't ask for money
outright.
You are at the mercy of the public! That has it's good points and
it's bad.
Most good performers, use street performing as away to gather
clients.
The ones that are exceptional, can make a comfortable living as
well.
In both cases i have found you must be willing to go the extra mile.

It goes back to the old adage:
"You catch more flies with vinegar than you do with
honey"

2) Tom Meyers' "JAM" is better than the "IBAC" because:
He will answer your E-Mails and they will not.

3) Larry and the rest of the "BHQ" folks are already busy enough with
their own lives.
Yes: we should build an organization on this foundation. No: we
should not expect this
oranization to build our foundation. Let's hear what you, as the
collective membership
of this yet unnamed guild have to OFFER, not what you expect or
demand.

4) GET A WEB SITE OF YOUR OWN!!! PUT SOME PICTURES ON IT!!!
If you need help ask!!! I personally will be happy to assist anyone
i can.
If you need server space, it's out there. Does anyone need a list of
free resourses?

5) List yourself on the Ballon HQ site. That way if someone wants to
find out where
you are from or include you on a mailing list, they will have all
the nesessary
information. That will also be where the basis of the aforeto unamed
organization
will most likely form it's membership.

6) Everyone coming to the IBAC is invited to "JAM" at my house.
Maybe after Ed Devbics. RSVP's would be good, so i know how many to
expect.
No, there will be not be a cover charge.
