Subject: weird thingy

Somebody was telling of a balloon model that clings
unto a round surface when it is pushed against it. (ie
a straight balloon that wraps itself round ones wrist
due to some forces in play because of the way it is
twisted). Was this person talking nonsense or is this
old hat and I missed it completely? I looked in the
archives but have absolutely no idea what it would be
called. Can anyone help. Even if u could tell me that
no such thing exists it would be a help. thank you
