Hi,

Tim McConeghy, Lord of Latex. What a co-inkidink I just made the
front end of a GMC pickup with Santa Driving for the GM proving grounds
Christmas party. Guests could enter the passenger side and pose next to the
balloon Santa. I will e-mail a photo to balloonhq and privately to Bridgit.
I build a frame from 1/4 inch aluminum rod and stretch the 260s
across to create the bulk of the design. Specific features such as wheels,
grill, mirrors, and any interior work are done seperately and tied into
place later on. My advice is to scale it down a little, ignore the interior
if possible, work from four column support points hidden behind the wheels,
and spray it with a hifloat water solution to keep it up as long as
possible. Be prepared to replace large areas like side panels use rubber
cement to create sheets of 260s and try to do repairs in the evenings or
early mornings to hide damage from the masses. Remember with framing less is
more but the frame can add the contours to really wow your audience. The
only person who knows how good it SHOULD look is you, and you are your own
worst critic. Remember you are the best twister in your socks.
