I couldn't quite get my balloon to look like a butterfly, but what it did do
for me was inspire something like a one-balloon Girl-Jumping-Rope, which is
great, because maybe now I am starting to move beyond "copying other people's
stuff" into "coming up with a few things myself!" Kinda encouraging. Anyway:
Girl-Jumping-Rope:
Inflate with 5" tail and burp. Tie off knot a good half inch from
nozzle. Make a 1-1/2" bubble (leg), then a 3/4" soft pinch twist. Split
twist it (foot). Then a 1/2" throw-away bubble, another 3/4" soft pinch
twist--split twist it (other foot), then another 1-1/2" bubble (other leg).
Bring up nozzle knot to the top of this bubble and tie it off here. Make two
1" pinch twists (hips) and position them opposite each other. Pop bubble
between feet.
Twist a 1-1/2" bubble (torso), then a 3/4" pinch twist (shoulder). Twist
another 1-1/2" bubble (arm) then a 3/4" pinch twist--split twist it (hand).
At this point you should only have about 1" tail left.
Force all air to tail and twist a 1-1/4" bubble at the end (head), then a
3/4" pinch twist (other shoulder), followed by a 1-1/2" bubble (other arm)
then a 3/4" pinch twist--split twist it (other hand). The remaining 12-14"
bubble is the jumprope.
Bring both shoulders together and lock twist together and place on each
side of the head. Arrange jumprope over the head or behind the back.
This one is going into my menu!
