Hi,

Tim McConeghy, Lord of Latex. Did you know that there are
scientists studying the theory that thoughts travel or spread like a virus?
Perhaps this partially explains the apparent simultaneous spontaneous
invention syndrome prevalent in the twister society. I have come up with
lots of designs all by myself only to meet another twister who does the same
design except... I have worked events for the entertainment industry in my
town and in the process of twisting and tooting my horn had rivals(?)
approach and every time I say "I made this up" they would respond with "no,
I saw that on BalloonHQ" or else where. This was a few years ago when I was
packing a 286 with my apple2 education. I had no idea this was here much
less the capacity to delve into the galleries. Books are another issue
(haha), how do you know if person B has ever seen your design for creation
x? Have you recorded every person to buy your publication, or is your design
even published? What if you were shown a weak design and improved it
yourself? Is it yours now? Months ago I posted concerning other things to do
with a 350. In that post I gave credit to someone who didn't create the
technique but was responsible for the design I saw in a photo as far as I
knew. Did I truly dishonor the originator? Who then designed the first
wiener dog and why don't the authors of 50 or more books give credit and
money to that noble soul?
IMHO take credit for your accomplishments honestly and offer
credit to the people you feel you owe credit to and send rasberries to those
who try to sink your ship. Remember those are your socks and your the best
twister in them.
