What are the best > books/videos out there for learning really creative sculptures. I'd suggest your starting with Larry Moss' "Twisting History" and the WAY COOL Gang's "Totally Way Cool Balloons." Together, these books span the distance between beginner - intermediate, and touch on a few advanced ideas. Most of the sculptures can be done inside two minutes, and Larry's Bird In A Gilded Cage is a neat way to incorporate weaving techniques into a fairly quick offering (I can get it done inside 4 minutes now). If you want to expand on your weaving skills, try "Attack of the 50' Demon" by Larry Moss. Great ideas for using hearts are included. This is a CD-ROM publication, and has some great video footage. Tremendous detail ideas for making faces at (er, I mean of) your friends and clientele can be obtained in the "Balloonicatures" CD-ROM, also by Larry Moss. Excellent instructions and easy to follow video footage will have you wowing your audience in no time. I have incorporated a lot of the techniques into my storytelling and restaurant work with great success! Hope this helps.
