I don't get bored with twisting the "same-o", because I treat the twisting
as secondary. I dress as a "balloon man", (balloon person for you PC
people), and my schtick is interacting with the customers. I love one-liners
and (gently) making fun of people. Two weeks ago I had two sets of twins
come to me at the same time. That was good for fifteen minutes of fun! On
the other hand, I spent another full hour making nothing but swords and
belts because one boy saw that another had one.

I like the idea of changing your menu of balloons. This can really spice
things up. I know Bruce Kalver uses a metal board and magnets. Each magnet
has one balloon thing on it and you can put about half of your repertoire on
the board. As one of the balloon things is picked, it comes off the board
and to the bottom of the pile of magnets. A new balloon thing goes on the
board. This keeps a good rotation going. (If you don't understand this,
you'll need to buy Bruce's book from T. Myers)
