Dillie,

So you came to Thailand. You should have let me know beforehand. :-(
I am a Part-time Balloon Twister (Japanese) working in Bangkok.

As you might have noticed, many of the shopping malls and shops are
decorated with balloons. Thai people love balloons and balloons are
generally very cheap compared to other countries. I think this is
because Thailand is one of the major countries for producing natural
latex. Say, for instance, a bag of 260 containing about 200 balloons
cost about 100-150 Baht or USD 3-4.5. Whole sellers give even better
price and you can buy balloons in kilos. The Quality is not as good
as Qs and Ps, but obviously far better than Ts. There are some outlets
for imported Qs but they are INCREDIBLY EXPENSIVE!

It is quite hard to find skilled balloon twisters here in Thailand,
but finally, I have found one at Siam Magic Club. We had a good jam
the other day. :-)
