Balloon Manor - The silly, weird, slightly haunted house made of balloons

Sorry to bring us back to the tip thing, but I have a question: We frequent
a restaurant that advertises a magician/balloon twister who goes table to
table. He's fun - average - but fun (my kids can do most of the balloons he
does - they're 5 & 6 LOL)

Anyway, he does not wear anything that mentions tips and never do I see
anyone tipping. So - from the tipper perspective, how would I know if he is
working for tips (short of just coming out and asking of course) or paid by
the restaurant. Since he does what my children can do (excluding the magic
part) I am not overly driven to tip.

I never work solely for tips so I am totally clueless to this. Thanks for
the input.
