I pre-blow balloons all the time. Makes a lot of sense for several
reasons...

1- I have a Sears 20 gal 5HP Air Compressor at home
along with attachements. This makes it
real quick and easy to blow up 100 -200 balloons,
a lot quicker than using my pump blaster.

2- The time saved by having pre-blown balloons at the party is
used by making more elaborate and
attractive sculptures and hats.... and spent
interacting with the children. This goes over BIG
with the parents.

3- I still bring my balloon selection to the party and mostly
blow up the more expensive specialty balloons
at the party, hearts, rounds,
blossoms, Bee Bodies.

4- When doing multiple parties in one day, it gets
me out of the party on time.

5- My parties are usually priced to cover the cost
of balloons and the small amount of time
invested in pre-blowing the balloons
is more than covered by the reduction in stress by
rushing to get out of the party on time.
BIG WARNING.... I'm mentioning this because
some clients (at BIG parties) usually
mention "Why don't you blow up 500 balloons before
my party so I don't have to pay you to do this"
OR the hostess who books a party, fills
it up with activities and then asks " By the
way, can you make 30 balloon scultpures and
bring them along for the kids...and don't forget
a special one for the birthday child."
I will preblow the balloons where my job is made
easier, but if I have to pre-blow balloons
for a specific party, I will charge
the customer for the time and material used to pre-blow
the balloons.

6- Leave a variety of tail sizes for each color. Variety
of colors presents a nice choice.

I've got a question for all the pro twisters. I am "twisting" for another
party at my son's preschool. The last time I did this, there were about 20
children between the ages of 2 and 5. Before I get flamed, The sculptures
were placed in the kids cubby hole when I left to await parents permission
to take home. My problem was that I had a rough time blowing and twisting
all the balloons in the specified time.(I'm still kinda slow) Have any of
you taken pre-filled balloons to a party and twisted them after you got
there? This would enable me to actually interact with the children and
twist
all sculptures in the allotted time. By the way, it was their time
schedule,
not mine. I do the parties on my day off for free, so I could have taken
all
day.
Any help is appreciated.
