I've been waiting for somebody else to say this.  I NEVER prefill. My time
is one of the things I'm charging for and I'm way too good to give it away
for free.  If they want balloons and have too many people at a gig or want
more entertainment than I can reasonably fit into the amount of time I
normally offer, they must pay extra.  If you call out a service person to
fix your washer and want her to fix the dryer while she's at it, she will
not throw that in for free.

Besides that, balloons have a short life. If I blow them up ahead of time
they won't last long after the kids get them and that makes ME look bad,
since nobody knows it's not MY fault when they break.  And finally, they get
all hazy and crappy looking when they're pre-inflated.
