Hi Everybody!
You should see me giggling on the other side of the computer right
now!. :-)
Just so everyone knows.... my question was about transporting pre blown
260's. Not pre blown & pre twisted 260's.
I too, would never pre twist & then hand them out, just a personal
preference. I have found though, that at larger venues when hired for
one of my clowning package deals, time wise it becomes far too time
consuming to inflate on the spot & twist for 100 or more kiddies, plus
do everything else I've been hired to do.
At large gigs where I have many things to do, my wonderful husband
pre inflates them just before I leave, leaving the tails up, as
suggested by someone on the list. The colors stay vibrant & the balloons
don't go soft this way.
When being hired for larger gigs, I explain to my client that if
need be and I feel time wise with the amount of kiddies, I may bring pre
inflated, but will twist individually. I've never had a client troubled
over this.
I don't charge extra either. It's like someone mentioned earlier as
well, I've already been compensated. Actually it just makes my gig a
little easier for me & I can breathe easier knowing I've done everything
I've been contracted to do, when I'm not just doing strictly balloons.
Last year, I made a simple nylon bag (parachute material). It works
great, although I probably should make a larger one to hold more,
because it really is very convenient.
I had at one time, been using a new tall, outside garbage container,
on wheels with a handle for easy steering. It was light weight & I
decorated it silly. It worked fine. I just didn't like having the extra
bulk item to pack in the van when it was time to go home.
I guess I should have re-phrased my other post & just asked these
questions: Does the trash bag concept do anything to break down the
latex because of the material used in the plastic? Is there extra static
cling?
Many times I have left over untwisted balloons & I like to leave
them at the gig. There are those that always seem to like trying their
hand at twisting, after I've done my thing.
The trash bag idea seems like a good one and I'm really interested
in it, especially using the clear bags. I could just leave the balloons
in the bag, still organized in one spot & not laying all over the place,
for those that want, when it's time for me to make my exit.
Speaking of exits.... Until later then,
