Ellen, In both our Decor and Entertainment businesses Royal and I use clear 55 gallon drum liners to transport balloons, we get them at our local BJ's Wholesale club or you can find even larger bags through a packaging company such as Chiswick (Sudbury Massachusetts). Mostly the plastic bags help slowdown the oxidation of the balloons and keeps them looking fresh. Yes you will get more static cling, but that doesn't bother me as much as oxidized balloons. I will generally preinflate balloons one or two (at the most) days before the job. As an example, Saturday I needed to transport 3 bags of white and quartz purple balloons and they were tied up in these clear bags. The job I needed them for was the last job of the day and temperatures in the Boston area were about 85 - 90 degrees that day. The temp inside the van while parked was much higher. When I took the balloons out of the bags, they were just as fresh and shiny as when I had put them in. Patty Sorell Balloon Designs with a Twist Peabody, MA, USA
