Arlene-

In bringing pre-inflated balloons to an event not only are you giving your 
time away but also the cost of the balloons as well as wear and tear on 
your pump.

You should at least have them pay you for the time you are filling up 
balloons as well as the cost of all balloons. There is also fixed costs in 
"bagging the balloons" and transporting them (not to mention unsafe if you 
fill your car so full).

You don't get what you deserve in life, you get what you negotiate.
