Dear All,

Saturday 23rd June 2001.

This day will either be fondly remembered or will be one filled with
embarrasment and one that I will want to forget.

Why ? I have my first public appearance at my childrens School Summer Fete
twisting balloons.

I've got a few ideas but would like a couple of pointers from all you
seasoned professionals.

I am hoping to have an indoor stall and will decorate it with more elaborate
creations. My aim is to limit the number of choices that I will make on the
day and sell the elaborate ones off at the end.

I also seem to recall some advice that states to limit yourself to the
number of colours you should offer when doing line work.

Apart from the decorative models, what should I make up in advance and what
should be done there and then (I want people to see me twisting, not just
selling a bunch of pre-made stuff).

I don't own an apron so what are the recommendations for storing the
balloons ?

Most importantly of all, I need some words of encouragement as I was hoping
that the organisers had forgotten my offer of help !!

In all seriousness, I am looking forward with dread to the experience.

Any help will be gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Nervously yours,

Sean,
Kent,
England.
