Subject: Behavioral Ballooning!
John, The Balloon man here,
Now that I have your attention, let's get down to "Brass Tacks". I am doing a
study about some of the different causes for misbehavior exhibited in the
children we come in contact with.
I realize that many are just plain spoiled brats and, dare I say it, need some
form of discipline. However, I have encountered enough that have very real
physical and psychological factors to want to become better educated.
I am looking into any and all possibilities.
Physical(I.E.:deformities, seizures, A.D.D.).
Mental(I.E.:retardation, autism).
Abuse(in all it's forms).
Allergies(in all their forms).
Chemical Imbalance(untreated or adjusted with or w/o drugs).
Parental influence(or lack thereof).
You tell me(I may have missed something you deem important).
My wife has suffered through helping me discover over 100 foods that, when
ingested, cause me to exhibit acute allergic reactions as everything from asthma
to paranoia to outright rage. The elimination of these offensive foods from my
diet has brought nothing less than miraculous results. Because of this
revelation in my own life and due to the fact that, we as entertainers, are &
often can be a strong positive influence in the lives & families of the children
that come our way, I believe that a study &/or teaching along these lines is
long overdue.
If you have valid information concerning situations such as this that you have
personally experienced, please feel free to forward your stories to me. All
information shared will be held in the strictest confidence(unless all parties
concerned are in mutual agreement otherwise). I will be making my findings
available to any & all who are interested in receiving them.
I will be formulating my discoveries into a possible teaching for classroom
settings meant to help educate & equip entertainers. This study will not be
intended to elevate one to "psychoanalyst", but it may well enable some of us to
more readily recognize some of the warning signs that we might otherwise miss.
Who knows? This could even develop into a "Balloon Teaching"!
Hoping that you can help,
John, The Balloon Man
