Lauren, you are a professional and the hostess is PRIVILEGED to have you at
her party, I'm all for training them. I DEFINITELY would have politely
asked for a drink. She wouldn't have thought any less of you, it was
probably an oversight anyway. In fact, many times when I do events, both
deco and entertainment, if the host is there and there aren't any
refreshments available, I will ask her/ him to find me some for me and my
crew. It actually serves to raise my value in their eyes. I can't explain
it, but I've found it to be true. I'll expand on this when the baby is
sleeping. In the meantime, good luck in the heat!!
