To Neophytes Everywhere:
When you wonder how to do your first balloon gig, what to say, what
to bring, how to display your work; or when you wonder how to
advertise yourself; or even if you're wondering what equipment to
buy, there's a very easy, simple, thorough source to check. The
BalloonHQ Guide. Yup, the BalloonHQ Guide, which you can get to
without a credit card or money order.
There are an awful lot of e-mails posted that are already answered in
the Guide. If you've checked the Guide before posting, let us
subscribers getting your e-mail know. (I read through the Guide, and
this aspect of my question is still unanswered.) In the Guide you'll
find tons of reviews, comments, and even URLs for things like aprons,
pumps, balloons, music, and more.
The Guide is several years old, so you know that you've got many,
many thoughtful responses all filed away. Take floor standing pumps
as an example. The Guide is quite thorough in offering evaluations on
floor standing pumps, as well as electric models, hand models, and
compressed air.
After the Guide, the next place to seek information is the Sponsor's
page. BHQ Sponsorship matters to me, and I will buy from the BHQ
sponsor every time - assuming they carry what I need. After checking
the Guide and the Sponsors for solutions, if the question is still
unanswered, that seems like the time to post.
For any question, I recommend the Guide as the first stop. Heck, they
even call it the Guide, which is what it does.
Good luck -

blooming outside our windows today."
