Subject: advert. vs pay
To: balloon@balloonhq.com
Bubbles, you are correct about the dealership and the advertisement. I
have worked at car dealerships and other corporate events where I did take
some airtime for partial payment. The d.j. would say "come see the balloon
lady," etc., even though I told the company my business name. This only
lets the listeners know that they can come and get a free balloon. It
doesn't tell them that I am available for other entertainment jobs. Then
when the average listener hears the
ad, they probably won't remember the name anyway. (Was that Bobbin, uh
Bubbles, uh, or was it Buttons, etc.)
I think for this to work to your advantage, you would have to have it
spelled out exactly (what you need the ad to say) in
the contract. Then I feel you would need to set your recorder
to record the station to be sure they have abided by the contract.
Sincerely, Robin McKeown "Bobbin"
