Something else happened during TMJ 2001 that is kind of exciting. For the
first time, the lungs of a large group of twisters were checked.

Lung capacity was measured, a questionaire was answered and a photo of the
lungs was taken of a large group of twisters. Everybody could have them
selves checked for free on wednesday and it is the first large scale twister
check up.

This resurch focussed on the lungs and the effect of the powder inside
balloons. It was not about the pressure buildup in your body yet. Hopefully
next year. All people that had themselves checked will receive the results
by mail.
