Since San > Antonio is a basketball town, I thought some sort of interactive thing like > a basketball hat with a hoop would maybe work. ... At T&S we played with a large "volleyball" and a net and had a blast. Our net was just a long string of twisted balloons. What made it interactive was that it was held up by two people. They could "help" the ball over by moving the "net". The ball was made using two 260's and a large round. (I'll do my best to describe the ball. It is really easy if you see it, but it may be impossible to describe.) Fully blow up the 260s. Fold one of the 260's in 4ths, just like you do for banana's. Do the same thing for the other 260. Now comes the tricky part. Place one inside the other. Twists will be at the top and bottom. If you have two different color 260s it will be stripped every other color. At this point, it will look like a football. Place a large round balloon in the middle of the football. Blow it up while it is inside the football. It will expand and force the "football" shape to turn into a round shape. Another idea for crowd participation is anything that they can throw. Javelins are quick and people love to throw them. You could even make a target. -- Deborah and Bethany
