Subject: Seattle Jam Rocks!

Wow! What a great time, and what a great turnout. I'll let Terri post all
the details, but I just wanted to say we had a great jam last night with
Chris Hayes. Fourteen people turned out at the Red Robin by Alderwood mall
to twist and share...and I don't think anyone was disappointed on either
account.

I learned a ton of new stuff. My favorites were 1) balloon peepers, 2) a
super-cute tiny dog, 3) a foldable scooter, and 4) a working balloon
pinwheel. Wow! I also saw a photo of Jolene dressed as the Experience Music
Project building. I can't even imagine running 5 miles in that thing. Queen
of Publicity!!

We also had a chance to try out the new Betallatex balloons. They are quite
strong, and the colors are cool, too. Unfortunately, we were having quite a
few pop--which is contrary to the experience Chris has had with his batch at
home. That was the only downside really though. A very good product for this
early in the lifecycle.

I really liked the one they call rattlesnake, but I agree with Chris--it
should be called The Worm. I also liked the marbled look in the tie-dye
colors. I'd love to have 260s in this marble business. The double-round (two
rounds connected) was great. The duck and seal w/ ball didn't do much for me
personally. The shapes were too non-descript when inflated. The "mouse head"
was awesome, though.

If you live in the Seattle area--or close enough to drive, like Joe did from
Camano Island--let me know and I'll add you to our email distribution list
for the next one.

And, if you get a chance to twist with Chris Hayes and Jolene Jang at TJAM,
don't miss it!
