Subject: Advice on building a routine
To: clowns@yahoogroups.com, Balloon@balloonhq.com
I am trying to put together a routine I can use for Birthday parties. I
really don't know much about doing this. I have lots of bits and gags and
simple comedy tricks, etc. but I need to put a bunch of stuff together into a
cohesive routine. For now I want a routine based around balloons because
they are inexpensive and I am familiar with them. After I've done some
parties I'll hopefully be able to afford some other props, etc. I especially
want to get a puppet to be my "sidekick" and "helper." I am looking for a
large lion or monkey hand puppet (where I control the hands, not the mouth of
the puppet). I already have lots of ideas for using a puppet, but in the
meantime could you folks give me some pointers on a balloon routine? More
bits would be great, but a cohesive routine is what I need. Oh well, I'm
starting to ramble so I'd better go.
