Hi everyone,
Caught some comments about the Teddy Bear and thought I'd contribute my
version of the Teddy Bear. I call him a "wear bear" or a "lazy bear"
depending on how I finish him.
Here's how I make him;
1) Fill a 260Q, leaving about 4" uninflated at the end. Twist seven 1"
bubbles, lock twist the last with the second to make a five bubble chain.
Push the 1st bubble (nose) through the chain opening, pinch twist the 2nd
and the 4rth chain bubbles to make the ears and hold in the nose. This
completes the head.
2) To make the arms, lock twist two 4" bubbles together under the "chin".
3) To make the body, make a soft 5" bubble and roll the bottom only
through the two arm bubbles. This creates an "S" shape with the bottom
being his protruding belly. (I like to draw on a belly button)
4) Distribute the rest of the air evenly throughout the remainder of
the balloon and twist a 1" bubble at the tip (the tail). Lock twist this
bubble to the body to create a loop. Position the tail in the back. At this
point, you can wear the bear around your arm, or the arm of a child, or loop
it through a hat. 5) To continue on to make a "lazy bear", find the
center of the loop, twist together to make two equal sized loops, these
become the feet and complete the bear.
Love to hear some comments, makes a great pig too!
