How about trying the song  "Old MacDonald" whereas they "race the clock" to 
make the named critter before finished (kids really laugh at that one) - you 
can even let the crowd choose the critter (and the "noise" it makes).

"My Crayons Talk" is a book that can be reenacted with balloons as can 
"Inside a Barn in  the Country" or "The House That Jack Built".
