When I take the booking on the phone I tell the Mom that when I send her
copy of the contract to her I will also include a photo of myself in
costume.  (These are pretty reasonably done at K-Mart, Wal-Mart,
Penney's, Sears........OR send her a character drawing of your clown)
that the child can color and hang on the fridge and become familiar with
until you arrive for their party.  The Moms are always pleased with this
idea and they can make copies to include in their invitations, in case
other "little ones" have not seen a clown before.
