Last night I did a homecoming dance for a local high school. With the recent comments about doing the party for 13yr olds, I was more than a little nervous about doing this for older teens. It actually went surprisingly well! All the guys were interested in getting something for their girlfriends, girls were just interested in getting something, and everyone had a great time. The person in charge said that usually by the end of the dance most kids would have left, but almost everyone stayed until the end; "a sure sign that they're having fun". Another topic in the not-too-distance past was working overtime without charging. Now that I've done a couple more jobs, I feel a little more comfortable commenting. I'm one of the group that doesn't mind staying alittle longer if I don't have somewhere pressing to be. I haven't aproached the person in charge about payment for the extra time, and I don't stay excessively over, but so far everytime that I've stayed for an extra 1/2 hr, I've been offered some extra for my efforts. Last night was a perfect example; I had agreed to two hours, I stayed an extra 1/2 hr, and was giving 40% over the agreed ammount. Even if I'm not expecting the bonus, I feel the smiles I get more than make up the time I spend. Just my 2 cents/2p worth. ===== _() <MT> Mark Small /\ Mister Twister _||_
