Anything like a "007" (hey! 007! I found one more thing I like about Mediocre Britian!)< in reply to marks query above, a double six is a wobbly, or in simpler terms goes loopy, throws their toys out the pram, ETC at best they just run crying to Mum. I see my balloon swallowing trick has brought about some good reply's. mainly from the "not around children brigade". That's why I don't do it to the under 8's. and then only once i've sussed the kids out. (mind you, from the posts about 13 year olds etc, our kids must be a lot older for their age than yours.so over there I wouldn't do it for the under 12's) and when I do do it I tell them not to try it themselves. in the same mode, when giving balloons to the very young, I always give them a swan, made quite soft so when they bite it, it won't break so easily. and I allways give a verbal warning to the little tot's mum. then it's her responsibility to ensure the kid doesn't bite it. I blow up the balloons by mouth during the show, as you get the chance for lot's more gags. but when I'm making lots of them i use a pump. it's made up of a small alluminium looking briefcase, which contains a 12 volt, 17 amp hour lead acid rechargable battery, (it's regarged with a car battery charger) this powers, through a 20 amp pushbutton switch, a car air horn compressor. all you see is the nozzle and button on top of the case. I can't tell you how many balloons it will blow up, as even though I've used all day, I've never run out of juice. There's room inside of extra balloon bags, and I use it attached to a small stand, when moving about I just pick up the case and stand by the cases handle. it wasn't cheap to build, the battery cost £50 ( I can't tell you what that is in dollars as i only use real money), The case £15, the pump was £25, then there was the wireing and button etc. but it's worth it's weight in gold. I use about 6 different types of balloon, but can't find a decent bag to put them in. I want once with at least 6 pockets, that I can hang off the side of my case, or during the show off the side of my box. Anyone out there got any Ideas?
