Talk about being an airhead! <sigh>  I just had a lady call from a local
church and ask me to come do balloons at their ice cream social.  I said
great, I would be happy to- got the address and such.  And totally forgot to
ask if this was a paying job... <sigh>

I THINK I have worked this church once before.  It sounds like the right
address, at any rate.  I DID get paid when I did the last one.  But- is
there a good way to find out if this is a "paying" job or a "volunteer" one?
I feel really silly having to call them back and ask..

The lady that hired me didn't mention money, but she DID ask for me by name
and ask me to do balloons.  Since I already accepted, I will do this whether
it pays or not- but any hints or tips for finding out in advance if it is
supposed to be a "paying" job or a "free" one?  I HATE having to ask for
money... <sigh>
