Here's what you can do to determine whether the show
you agreed to is paying or not:

Send the contact lady a contract (or other letter of
confirmation) for the event you discussed, with all
the pertinent info INCLUDING your price (along with a
SASE.) If she signs and returns, it's a paying gig. If
not, she will call you or you can call to "follow up"
and get things settled at that time.
