Regarding the Wal-Mart air tank that you use to full the car tires with I 
use one of them.  I attached a little tool they use to blow out delicate 
parts on a car.  It has a 1 1/2 (or so) rubber tip and a really handy 
trigger.  Really handy and it does make a really cool noise.  Kind of heavy 
so it's best used when you are stationary.
