Just a thought, from "downunder", with the question of 'thank you'.

Before 'thank you' comes 'PLEASE', and many parents are grateful that I
remind little ones of "the magic word".
I even make a joke out of it "if you don't use the ONE magic word, you'll
have to use the THREE magic words .... the ONE magic word... please  ....
the THRE magic words ??     here's fifty bucks  ..... never got the fifty
bucks..  ..always gets a laugh .. and the children use their manners.
