So compliment them on the job they did twisting the balloon.  "Hey guys, 
great job on the animal.  You know, you might be good enough to work with me. 
 Want a job ??"  

Who knows, they might take you up, or just leave feeling like they got the 
best of you.  But that's OK, as they also know they really might not want to 
be standing there if front of people all day working like you do.  

When we are doing round balloon work and somebody gets 'smart' like that, I 
always offer a job.  That's usually all it takes to cool their heels.  If 
not, you might have found a great helper...
