Listers,

This year has seen the demise of two very popular and useful sources of
information for entertainers (Tmyers True Inflations and Laugh Makers
Quarterly Journal). Personally I am feeling the absence of these "in print"
sources for entertainment news and ideas. As I was lamenting I began to
wonder about producing a newsletter that would fall somewhere in between the
two. I am addressing this email to all of you to express my ideas and to
gauge the interest in such a publication. My basic idea is that I (with
help) could mail a stapled issue once per quarter with information relating
to "entertainers" (namely twisters, face painters, clowns, and magicians
since many of us use multiple skills to ply our trade). The design I have in
mind is this: Four departments (Busking/Vending/Working A Line, Restaurant
Shifts, Birthday Parties, and Stage Shows). Each department would have a
column, Q & A, and submissions (pictures or ideas submitted by readers, but
not necessarily in article form). Columns and submissions would be donated
for the sake of notoriety and for "love of the game". Subscriptions would be
inexpensive, say $10 a year to pay for paper, envelopes, and stamps.
Advertisements would welcome at modest rates (to help pay for publication
costs).

Comments, ideas, volunteers for columns, and those interested in subscribing
should reply to yoda@balloonatix.com . Thanks!!!!!!
