I recently had to do a presentation for a graduate class on any subject I wanted. I chose to do 15 minutes on the basic twists. When I began someone commented about me being one of those "get a balloon dog for a $1.00 guys". My presentation was entitled, "Beyond the basic dog". What I was able to do in 15 minutes was show this group how some simple twists and some fun make balloon twisting a great way to spread smiles. They were blown away because most people do not see much more than a balloon dog. (at least in my very small home town.) OK the point: In every field there are people who give it their best and those who do not. I take it as a welcome challenge to show the jaded public how much fun can be had. And, in some weird way I like the fact that there are some people without the proper talents because I get to look even better. Hope this was a good safe first post.
