idea for all twisters: move to Belgium. Here you are forced to know at least
three languages, although a fourth and a fifth one will come in handy...

Now seriously, there was a thread a while back on french names for basic
twists. It should be in the archives. May come in handy for those trying to
speak the lingo. And if anyone has questions concerning translations into or
from english, dutch, french or german, just mail me. I speak a little
spanish, pero no mucho. Lo siento que solo hablo un poco de espanol.

Hi,

Tim McConeghy, Lord of Latex. I am teaching myself to SPEAK
french, italian, and german. While I am still at a toddlers level, several
members of the list should be very helpful.
Arthur Tivoli, le' Balloneur, most obviously.
Lorna Paris, as I recall, has a fair grasp of the language.
I'm sure this most means diddly as they have probably already
privately mailed Moisseur Vince, but it intrigues me, how many of us speak
two or more languages?
I speak enough spanish to make balloons here in the southwest
(yes I speak spanglish to the same degree). The other languages are a result
of working in a high tourist venue. Next year I will work on japanese,
mandarin, and perhaps farsi.
No I don't expect to become fluent in all or really even any of
these languages, but I do enjoy the oppurtunity to cross that gap. I find it
very sad to approach a table with bright smiling faces only to leave them
sad and confused because we don't understand one another. It also helps my
pocket not feel so empty.
There is the topic. How many languages do you speak, what do you
speak, and do you find use for them in your twisting?

Still trying to be the best twister in my socks.
